Dischi Sotterranei

Vipera is the musical project of Caterina Dufi, artist and author whose multidisciplinary practice meets writing, music, performance and figurative art. He is interested in performing in the poetic and sound field, using acoustic and electronic instruments. Writing research feeds on the intersection with visual arts: the study of the sign (copy from the true, printing techniques) and the material culture proper to these disciplines constitute the tools for a poetic description in the literary field. In December 2023 the debut record “Acerbo e devourato” was released, for Disci Sotterranei, produced by Niccolò Cruciani. He writes and presents with Eugenia Delbue "The intric of the branches of different trees has unveiled two distinct ways to see the sky", electronic poetic act in two voices composed during the residence Tagli. The work was staged in 2023 at the opening of the exhibition "Sassifraga" (Marsèll Paradise), for which he made and exhibited copies from the real calls "Serie di obsidiana. In 2023 he wrote with Daniele Carcassi "The Stones of Elba", a radio script born as a collection of letters, musical pieces and poetic texts. In 2022 he presented in Corigliano d’Otranto the audio-visual installation "Before making fire" conceived for an octagonal room and composed of field-recordings engraved on ribbons and a pictorial decoration. In the same year he wrote and presented live "Trafetto" poetic piece for solo and electronic voice. In 2021 he released the first EP, “Tentative di volo” (Subterranean Disks), of which he wrote, directed and played the short film built on the music of the record. He takes his music live in venue such as the Teatro del Parco in Mestre, Germi in Milan, SEI Festival in Corigliano d’Otranto and opening at OWEN, a solo project by Mike Kinsella (American Football), the Locomotiv Club in Bologna and the CAP 10100 in Turin. It supports Maria Antonietta and Carmen Consoli, playing in opening at their concerts.
