Vieri Cervelli Montel was born in Florence in 1995, but his roots lie in Sardinia and Normandy.As a jazz-trained musician and singer, he combines radical collective improvisation with a personal poetic that transcends the aesthetic codes of musical genres and deconstructs them into hybrid and contaminated songs.Making his debut as a solo artist with a contemporary and counter-current reinterpretation of the classic Almeno tu nell’universo, in 2021 he embarked on a tour opening for IOSONOUNCANE, who collaborated as producer on Vieri's debut album, I [primo]. IOSONOUNCANE decided to make it the first album released on his new label Tanca Records in May 2022.I [primo], a highly autobiographical concept album of songs developed through radical improvisation and electronic manipulation, became a small publishing phenomenon for a debut album, presented at Campo Teatrale in Milan and at the Centro di Ricerca Teatro San Leonardo in Bologna in two sold-out events, and selling out the limited vinyl edition in just a few months.In March 2023, he releases cervo, a multifaceted and daring single that openly confronts monumental codes of dance music, such as reggaeton and hardcore techno, to serve fragile and evocative words and break them down in an iconoclastic finale. The song comes with an EP featuring remixes by Clap! Clap!, Flavia Laus, and Crookers.
