Needn't

Born in Birlad, Romania, who grew up in the salt waters of the Venetian Lagoon and moved to Bologna to study Electronic Music at the Conservatory, Rareş chose his first name to put himself in the game and take serious action in the world of Italian music. With the active debut album (Curriculum Vitae, released in March 2020), an EP (Folk_2021, a sort of study on the forms and affections of the American neo-folk) and a single (Crisi, released in the summer of 2021), has proved to be able to turn and turn the song form in its own way, always coming out winning from the comparison between the past and the present. The echo of the 1960s melodic tradition is always balanced and in perfect balance with electronic sounds, with synthetic synths and electronic beats. In February 2020 he was in the MiAmi Ancora line up and in the same year he began his first solo tour followed by one with the band in 2021, demonstrating that the stage is his natural habitat. After the tour he returned to the studio to write and compose the new album Femmina in March 2023 for Needn’t, recorded solo and with friends and collaborators of all time (Novecento, Colibree, Redmattre, Marco Giudici).
