Gaia Morelli

Gaia Morelli, born in 2000, approaches music since she was a child: is her father, hungry and active music user, who transmits this love to her since she was very young. From him comes also the constant presence of the Beatles in headphones and other listenings that lead her to approach names such as King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Big Thief, Elliott Smith, Wilco, Bon Iver, Fiona Apple, Phoebe Bridgers and many more.

At 12 years old she begins to study the instruments she currently plays while at 15 she writes the first songs. A 17 was born his musical project, Baobab!, with which he published the EP of the same name (2022, Disci Sotterranei / Needn’t) that has obtained excellent feedback from the media and the public, and has led her to perform on prestigious stages such as that of Mi Ami 2022.

She has been living in Turin for a couple of years, where she is musically and personally training. Here she came into contact with professionals in the music sector, artists, artists and people to whom she was closely linked, some of whom are part of the big family involved in the work on the record. Anticipated by the single Nomore, the debut album as Gaia Morelli, titled La Natura Delle Cose, comes out on Friday 12 April for Disci Sotterranei and Panico Disci, with the support of MiC and SIAE, as part of the program “For Who Creates”.
